Gas Quality Measurement
Gas analysis devices play an important role in quantifying the composition of gas mixtures in various industries. These devices enable accurate measurement and monitoring of gas composition thereby ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Gas Chromatograph
The RMG PGC9300 process gas chromatograph analyses the composition of natural gas or biogas and determines the most important components in mol% proportions. The gas components are used in the analysis computer to calculate (according to ISO 6976 or GPA 217209) values such as:
- Superior and inferior calorific value
- Standard density
- Density ratio
- Wobbe index
Renewable energy is on the rise and brings fluctuations in natural gas quality. This increases the need for additional measurements of hydrogen and oxygen components to accurately determine the gas composition.
The PGC family of the RGC 7 process gas chromatograph is a measurement update of the PGC 9300 family, which has now met the high requirements of customers and approval authorities for more than 10 years.
Gas Analyser
The RMG RGQ5 Gas Analyser is a more cost-effective solution to determine the gas composition and provide important measurements such as:
- Superior and inferior calorific value
- Density
- Real gas factor
- Stoichiometric air-fuel ratio
- Methane number
- Volume fractions of CO2 and H2
- Wobbe Index
The RGQ5 uses patented gas viscometer technology in combination with other micro-electromagnetic sensors (MEMS). The analyzer was developed for biomethane injection, hydrogen admixture, combustion control, gas network monitoring and other stationary applications.
